A key decision includes amendments to the Haryana Superior Judicial Service Rules, aimed at improving transparency and efficiency in the judicial system. In the health sector, relief has been provided in the recruitment of pharmacy officers by removing the mandatory six-month training requirement. The direct recruitment quota has been increased to 95% to fill vacant posts quickly.
The cabinet also approved amendments to Haryana Financial Rules and Treasury Rules to strengthen financial discipline. Changes were also approved in Food and Drug Administration Service Rules.
In the infrastructure sector, revised costs for the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor and the metro project from Narela to Kundli have been approved, aiming to improve transportation.
Government employees have also received relief, as loans for housing, vehicles, marriage and other needs will now be made more transparent. The government will directly manage this system instead of relying mainly on banks.
In the education sector, under the new education policy, the minimum age for admission to Class 1 has been fixed at 6 years, earlier it was 5 years.
To improve drinking water supply in rural areas, community participation has been promoted. Self-help groups will collect water bills and will receive a 10% share.
Amendments were also approved in industrial licensing policy, transport and communication sector rules, and the Affordable Housing Policy 2013.
During the press conference, CM Saini also addressed concerns over LPG shortage, stating that supply has been affected due to tensions in the Middle East, but the government is managing the situation. He appealed to people to also use solar or electric cooking options.
He also targeted Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Aam Aadmi Party, alleging corruption.
The cabinet decisions focus on administrative reforms, infrastructure, education and public welfare, which are expected to impact the state’s development in the coming time.
