Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has laid out a comprehensive plan to connect ITI-trained youth directly with employment opportunities. At a high-level review meeting held on March 25, 2026, the Chief Minister emphasized building a seamless pipeline between training, apprenticeship, and job placement.

The proposed framework includes a centralized digital portal integrating ITI graduate data, industry requirements, and apprenticeship opportunities aimed at reducing the gap between skill acquisition and actual employment. Alongside, large-scale district-level job fairs are set to be institutionalized through a structured calendar, ensuring consistent hiring platforms for youth across Haryana.

The meeting, attended by Minister of State for Entrepreneurship Gaurav Gautam, focused on strengthening the role of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) as employment enablers rather than just training centers. CM Saini directed officials to develop a unified digital system where data of ITI pass-outs can be compiled and shared with industries, enabling faster and more targeted recruitment.

He also stressed the need to track post-training outcomes through a monitoring mechanism that records whether students secure jobs after completing their courses.

Highlighting the broader vision aligned with national education reforms, the Chief Minister noted that skill-based education must go hand-in-hand with formal learning. He underlined the importance of apprenticeships and practical exposure, directing departments to also maintain records of students undergoing internships. This, he said, would help refine training modules and ensure industry relevance.

CM Saini also reviewed the infrastructure and functioning of ITIs across the state. He sought detailed information on machinery and technology being used in training institutes, instructing officials to upgrade outdated equipment to meet modern industry standards. A strict stance was taken on irregularities in private ITIs, with clear directions for corrective action wherever necessary.

Further, the state government is looking to introduce structured extracurricular and exposure initiatives. Instructions were issued to create a sports activity calendar within ITIs and to organize industrial visits for trainees, enabling hands-on learning and real-world understanding of workplace environments.

With these measures, the Haryana government is positioning ITIs as dynamic hubs of employability, where training is directly linked to opportunity, and every skilled youth has a clearer pathway to sustainable employment.
