Jammu & Kashmir: Two Terrorists Neutralised In Anti-Infiltration Operation In Nowshera

Security forces killed two terrorists trying to infiltrate Nowshera in Jammu and Kashmir. A large quantity of weapons including two AK-47s and a pistol have been recovered from the slain terrorists. An army official said that an anti-infiltration operation is being carried out in Nowshera sector of the border district. Under this, two terrorists were killed. At the same time, search operation is still being carried out in the area. Security forces have information that more terrorists may be hiding in the area.
The Jammu-based White Knight Corps of the Army said on X that based on the inputs from intelligence agencies and police about a possible infiltration attempt, an anti-infiltration operation was launched in Lam sector on the intervening night of September 8 and 9.
During this, two terrorists were killed. So far, two AK-47s and a pistol along with other weapons have been recovered from them. Army officials say that after the encounter, the area was illuminated and surveillance was kept throughout the night. The operation was started again as soon as morning arrived.
The Indian Army has also recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from their possession. The gunfight broke out late on Sunday night in the Laam sector of Nowshera. A massive search operation is underway as it’s suspected that at least a couple of terrorists were hit in the crossfire, according to the media reports. The official said, ‘The Army conducted the anti-infiltration operation in the Nowshera sector of the India- Pakistan border during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday’.
