‘Adequate Stock in State, No Need to Panic’: CM Nayab Singh Saini on LPG Shortage in Haryana
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini has assured that LPG, petrol, and diesel supplies are adequate, urging people not to panic over rumours linked to Middle East tensions.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has clarified that there is adequate LPG stock in the state and people need not panic. Rumours of supply disruption due to war-like conditions in the Middle East had led to concern and unnecessary hoarding in some areas.
The Chief Minister held a meeting in Chandigarh with senior officials of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department. Additional Chief Secretary Raja Shekhar Kundru, Director General Anshaj Singh and representatives of oil companies were present in the meeting.
Oil companies informed that the supply of petrol, diesel and domestic LPG is completely normal. Adequate stock is available and supply is continuing smoothly. However, there has been a temporary disruption in the supply of commercial gas cylinders, with priority being given to educational institutions, hospitals and other essential sectors.
The government has assured uninterrupted supply for domestic consumers. Strict instructions have been issued to all Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police and District Food and Supply Controllers to prevent theft and black marketing. Agencies or distributors found involved in black marketing will face cancellation of licenses.
CM Saini appealed to the public not to pay attention to rumours and avoid unnecessary panic or hoarding, as the stock of essential petroleum products is sufficient and supply remains normal.
As per the directions of the central government, domestic LPG is being given priority to ensure that households do not face any inconvenience. The meeting reflects the state government’s vigilance and transparency amid international tensions, assuring that there is no shortage of domestic gas in the state.
