Gita Press Secures 10 Acres in GIDA for Major Expansion to Meet Rising Demand
Gita Press, one of the world’s most respected publishers of Hindu religious literature, has received 10 acres of land in Sector-27 of the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA). Announced on GIDA’s Foundation Day, this long-awaited allocation will help the press expand its production, which has been restricted due to space limitations. Manager Dr. Lal Mani Tiwari said the current 1.45 lakh sq ft campus is fully occupied, making it difficult to meet soaring demand. The press, which publishes 3 crore books annually, often falls short of supplying its 20 branches. With an investment of ₹81 crore, the new facility is expected to create 300 jobs and significantly boost output. Gita Press aims to prepare for future demand and strengthen the distribution of sacred texts nationwide.

NIA Raids Multiple Locations in Kashmir Linked to Red Fort Suicide Blast Case
On 1 December, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out extensive searches across Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam districts of Kashmir as part of its probe into the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) module behind the Delhi’s Red Fort terror attack. The suicide attack, executed by Kashmiri resident Dr Umar un Nabi, killed 15 people and left many others injured.
Officials said that NIA teams raided the home of Moulvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay in Shopian, who is believed to have led the recruitment and radicalisation of the educated terror network. He was arrested last month after the agency took over the case. Searches were also conducted in Koil, Chandgam, Malangpora and Samboora areas of Pulwama, along with the residence of Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather, arrested earlier in Uttar Pradesh.
Another raid targeted the house of co-accused Jasir Bilal Wani in Qazigund. Investigators revealed that operations were carried out at eight locations, exposing an inter-state terror network and leading to the recovery of 2,900 kg of explosives, weapons and several arrests, including Kashmiri doctors and JeM’s women’s wing head in India.
India Grants Citizenship to 12 Hindu Refugees from Bangladesh Under CAA, Ending Decades of Statelessness
The Indian government has granted citizenship to 12 Hindu refugees from Bangladesh under the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), marking a major relief for families who escaped religious persecution decades ago. These refugees, who arrived in West Bengal with no documents, property or security, had lived for years without legal identity. Their lack of citizenship restricted access to jobs, education, passports and essential services, leaving them in constant fear of being labelled illegal migrants.
The process finally gained momentum after the Centre implemented CAA rules and set up help desks across border districts to assist applicants. Communities such as the Matuas, who struggled for generations without proper papers, have welcomed the move as a long-awaited assurance of dignity and stability. The issuance of certificates comes amid intense political debate in West Bengal, but for the 12 families, it represents a new beginning. They say the decision has restored their sense of belonging and strengthened their trust in India’s legal system.

Maulana Mahmood Madani Issues ‘Jihad Against Oppression’ Warning, Criticises Judiciary and National Symbols
Maulana Mahmood Madani, President of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, stated during a meeting in Bhopal on 29 November 2025 that “wherever there is oppression, there will be jihad.” He made this remark while criticising the judiciary, claiming that several recent court decisions, including the Babri Masjid case and the judgment criminalising instant triple talaq, were influenced by government pressure.
Madani said that his intention was to protect minority rights, and that the term “jihad” referred to a spiritual and ethical struggle, not violence. However, the BJP accused him of provoking the Muslim community and challenging constitutional institutions. BJP leaders Narottam Mishra and Rameshwar Sharma described his comments as “anti-national” and “incendiary.”
Madani also commented on the Vande Mataram issue, saying that any community that recites it without thought is a “dead community.” Madani defended halal practices and religious freedom, insisting that the government and courts must protect minority rights.
Previously, Madani has made strong and controversial statements on issues such as the Uniform Civil Code, Islamophobia and the Waqf Act. He opposed Uttarakhand’s UCC, stating that Muslims would continue to follow personal laws and Sharia within constitutional limits.
ISI-Backed Terror Module Busted: Arif and Two Others Arrested in Delhi Police Operation

More suspects linked to the module are expected to be arrested as the investigation continues.
India Refuses Visa to Evangelist Franklin Graham Over Concerns About His Past Christian Conversion Work
India’s Ministry of Home Affairs has refused a visa to American evangelist Franklin Graham, who was scheduled to attend a Christian gathering in Kohima, Nagaland, on 30 November. Although Graham’s visit was cancelled, the organisers continued with the event as planned. The government has not shared an official explanation, but Graham’s long record of evangelical outreach in India, often linked to Christian conversion-driven activities through his organisation, Samaritan’s Purse is believed to have influenced the decision.
Franklin Graham has visited India multiple times since the 1980s. His organisation has been linked to establishing over 1,000 illegal churches across the country, often using aid, food distribution and welfare services as instruments for evangelism. His father, the late Billy Graham, also had a long history in India and met leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi during his Christian Conversion Activities.
In 2010, Franklin Graham mocked Hindu Gods during an interview, saying, “No elephant with 100 arms can do anything for me… None of their 9,000 gods can save me.” These remarks were widely viewed as a direct insult to the Hindu religion. His overall tone was strongly exclusivist, implying that only Christianity is a valid faith while portraying all other religions as false or meaningless.
