BJP Slams Trinamool Congress Over Appeasement Politics as TMC MLA Humayun Kabir Vows Babri Masjid Construction on 6 December

The BJP strongly criticised the Trinamool Congress after TMC MLA Humayun Kabir announced the construction of a so-called Babri Masjid in Beldanga, Murshidabad. BJP leaders said TMC was using religion for political benefit, especially by choosing 6 December, the day the illegally built disputed structure in Ayodhya (dubbed Babri Masjid) was razed to the ground. Kabir said the date was selected as a symbolic gesture for the Muslim community, promoting the BJP to charge TMC with appeasement politics.

Kabir also revealed plans for a large mosque complex that will include a guest house, a restaurant, and a hospital. He expects nearly two lakh people to attend the foundation ceremony, with guests arriving from Delhi, Mumbai, and religious leader Pirzada Abbas Siddiqui invited.

ABVP Slams DMK Over Education and Security Issues; Urges NEP 2020 Implementation and Backing for SIR

ABVP Uttar Tamil Nadu, in its State Executive Council Meeting held in Hosur on November 15–16, 2025, passed detailed resolutions criticising the DMK government for weakening education standards and failing to maintain a strong law-and-order situation in the state.

Speaking in Chennai on November 19, ABVP leaders Yuvaraj Dhamodharan and Karthik H said the state government’s refusal to implement NEP 2020 has denied students modern facilities such as interdisciplinary learning, flexible entry–exit options, and multilingual education. They added that the State Education Policy 2025 lacks meaningful reforms and has caused Tamil Nadu to miss out on major central funds linked to NEP and PM SHRI schools.

The second resolution raised concerns over the state’s law-and-order condition, pointing to recurring incidents of organised crime, cyber offences, caste violence, and threats to student safety. The council also urged students to support the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, stressing that misinformation must be countered to protect democratic processes.

A government doctor in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, has been suspended from emergency duty after a video showing Dr. Waqar Siddiqui dancing with his fiancée inside a hospital room went viral on social media. The video, recorded in a closed room on the hospital’s upper floor, drew widespread criticism soon after it surfaced last Wednesday.

Dr. Siddiqui, who was appointed on a two-year contract, was questioned by Medical Officer Virendra Singh, but his explanation was found unsatisfactory. Following the inquiry, the hospital administration removed him from emergency duty, vacated his government accommodation, and sent a detailed report to senior health officials for further action.

MP: Congress Worker Arrested for Sharing Misleading Video To Allege Large Scale Public Protest Against NDA’s Victory in Bihar

A Congress worker from Narsinghpur, Manjit Ghoshi, was arrested by Madhya Pradesh Police after he circulated an old video with false claims alleging large scale protests against alleged “vote chori” in Bihar. FIRs were registered against him in Delhi and Rajasthan, after which he was detained on Wednesday morning and taken to Delhi for investigation.

On 17 November, Ghoshi posted a video showing a huge torchlight march and claimed that lakhs of people blocked roads in Bihar after the BJP formed the government through “vote chori.” The video, however, was actually from Rajasthan’s Jhalawar, recorded on 25 September during a protest seeking justice for eight children who died when a school roof collapsed in July.

Kashmir: Father-Son Duo Shahnawaz Khan and Abdul Lateef Arrested; Security Forces Recover Weapons Cache in Nowgam

During a joint operation in Nowgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the Handwara Police and the Indian Army’s Naugam Brigade recovered a large cache of weapons from the Neeriyan Forest near the Line of Control. The action followed specific intelligence that revealed a hidden storage site. Earlier, Handwara Police and CRPF 162 exposed a narco-terror network active in Qalamabad and seized illegal weapons, ammunition, and commercial-quantity contraband. An FIR was filed under the NDPS Act, UAPA and Arms Act. Two hybrid terrorists, Shahnawaz Khan (23) and his father Abdul Lateef (53), were arrested for running this network. Security forces recovered a handgun with seven bullets, around 890 grams of heroin-like substance, rifles, magazines, grenades and live rounds. Investigations are continuing to identify more people linked to the group.

Maharashtra: Teen Commits Suicide Hours After Being Assaulted For Speaking Hindi in Kalyan’s Local Train

In Maharashtra’s Kalyan, 19-year-old Arnav Jitendra Khaire died by suicide after being assaulted by people in a local train for not speaking Marathi. Arnav, a first-year student at Kelkar College in Mulund, was travelling on the Ambernath–Kalyan local train on November 18 when an argument broke out over language row with the unidentified accused harassing him for speaking in Hindi. His family stated that 4–5 men in the train physically attacked him and threatened him, which left him deeply shaken and stressed.

Frightened after the assault, Arnav got off the train at Thane and returned to Mulund by another train. He informed his family about the attack and his mental distress. Later that evening, his father found his room locked and discovered Arnav hanging inside. Police have registered a case of accidental death and are now examining CCTV footage to confirm the sequence of events.

New Delhi: Steel Factory Labour Arrested For Raping 8-Year-Old-Girl

A 31-year-old man has been arrested for sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl in Delhi’s Samaypur Badli area. The incident occurred when the child, while playing near her home, entered the accused’s room. He allegedly forced her onto a bed, but the girl resisted, pulled his hair, and ran out to inform her mother. The woman immediately contacted the police. Locals brought both the victim and the accused to the police station before the team arrived. The accused, identified as Nagar from Uttarakhand’s Paudi Garhwal district, works as a labourer in a nearby steel factory. The girl underwent a medical examination at Burari Hospital. An FIR has been filed under Section 64 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and relevant POCSO provisions. Further investigation is in progress.

India Fully Restarts Tourist Visas for Chinese Citizens as Relations Improve After LAC Tensions

India has restarted issuing tourist visas to Chinese nationals at all its embassies and consulates worldwide, marking a major step toward improving ties after years of tension along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Officials told Hindustan Times that Indian missions across the world began accepting applications from Chinese tourists earlier this week. This expansion follows the partial restart in July, when visas were issued only from missions in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.

Tourist visas had remained suspended since the 2020 LAC stand-off and the Galwan Valley clash, which severely damaged bilateral relations. The new decision is part of wider efforts to rebuild engagement, including the restart of direct flights in October and plans to resume the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra next summer. Progress accelerated after both countries agreed on LAC disengagement in October 2024 and strengthened diplomatic talks.
