1. India Maritime Week 2025: PM Modi Unveils $26 Billion Reforms to Make India a Global Maritime Hub

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Global Maritime Leaders Conclave in Mumbai during India Maritime Week 2025, calling it a proud milestone in India’s maritime journey. The event, with participation from over 85 countries, showcased India’s growing influence in global shipping. PM Modi announced record maritime reforms and projects worth $26 billion (₹2.2 lakh crore) to boost port infrastructure and green shipping. Key highlights included the operationalisation of Vizhinjam Port, the launch of Bharat Container Shipping Line and modernised maritime laws replacing colonial ones. With 437 new vessels planned and the first green hydrogen facility at Kandla Port, PM Modi emphasised India’s vision to become a global shipping powerhouse.

India Maritime Week 2025 is the Government of India’s flagship global platform to highlight the nation’s long-term maritime vision. Held under the theme “Uniting Oceans, One Maritime Vision,” the event started on 27th and ends on 31st October 2025. The landmark initiative was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on 27 October.

2. Delhi Anti-Hindu Riots 2020 Was Not Spontaneous, Rather a “Regime Change Operation”: Police Makes Explosive Revelation Before Supreme Court

The Delhi Police makes an explosive revelation in the anti-Hindu riots that rocked North-East Delhi in the year 2020. In its Supreme Court affidavit, the Delhi Police has revealed that the riots in the national capital was not a “spontaneous outbreak of anger” rather it was part of an “organised regime change operation” aimed at undermining India’s sovereignty.

These startling revelations have been made in a 177-page affidavit filed as opposition to bail pleas of UAPA accused Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam. As per the Delhi Police, investigators have gathered documentary, and technical evidence to assert that the anti-Hindu riots were the result of a deep-rooted conspiracy engineered along communal lines.

The affidavit states, “The plan was designed to weaponise public dissent against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and strike at the sovereignty and integrity of India.”

Regime change operations or coloured revolution is one in which the internal or external players try to paint the elected government that refuse to play second fiddle as “fascists”, “genocidal”, “oppressive” and whatnot and through “democratic subversion” or violent protests/coups they usurp power. Incidentally, the United States’ CIA has been notorious in orchestrating such “regime change/coloured revolution” across the world to topple governments’ that don’t accept dictations of the US administration and/or furthers the interest of the US deep state.

3. Another Jolt to Congress’ “Vendetta Politics” In Karnataka: State Administrative Tribunal Stays Suspension of PDO Who Participated in RSS PathSanchalan

The Siddaramaiah government in Karnataka has suffered yet another blow amidst its politically motivated onslaught against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a socio-cultural organisation marking its centenary this year. The Karnataka State Administrative Tribunal (KSAT) has put on hold the suspension of Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) Praveen Kumar. Kumar was arbitrarily suspended by the Congress regime for participating in the RSS Pathasanchalana in Lingasugur, Raichur. BJP MP from Bengaluru South, Tejasvi Surya, informed the same, adding that his legal team had challenged the “politically motivated” order in the KSAT.

Surya added, “This (stay) should serve as a lesson to the Congress government that no amount of intimidation can deter the nation-building ideals of the RSS.”

It is important to note that the Congress government in the state has been facing massive embarrassment for caving to the whims of its Minister Priyank Kharge and misusing the state machinery to purge its ideological opponents. However, the Karnataka High Court stayed the government decree that sought to limit RSS activities in the state.

4. Assam CM Orders Sedition Case Against Congress Leader for Singing Bangladesh National Anthem

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has directed police to file an FIR against Congress leader Bidhu Bhushan Das for singing Bangladesh’s national anthem “Amar Sonar Bangla” at a public event in the Barak Valley. The incident took place on October 27, 2025, during a Congress Seva Dal meeting at Indira Bhavan in Karimganj.

Calling it an unacceptable act concerning national security, the Chief Minister instructed the Director General of Police (DGP) to take strict action under sedition laws. He made it clear that such actions will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

In a post on X, CM Sarma wrote, “At a time when some individuals in Bangladesh are claiming that Northeast India belongs to them, Congress leaders in Assam are singing Bangladesh’s national anthem in their programs. This is not a coincidence—it must be investigated.” Notably, Bangladesh’s interim Prime Minister Mohammad Yunus was recently seen with a Pakistani Army general holding a controversial “Greater Bangladesh” map, which showed Assam and Northeast India as part of Bangladesh.

5. “Ask him to dance, and he’ll do it”: Rahul Gandhi mocks Prime Minister Modi during election rally in Bihar, BJP Hits back

Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has landed himself in a fresh row after he made provocative remarks to mock Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a Bihar rally. Absent from the poll-bound state for nearly two months, Gandhi mocked PM Modi, saying he could “do anything for votes, even dance on stage if asked.” He further alleged that unemployment had forced Indian youths to stay busy on Instagram and Facebook, warning they would “end up at Modi’s house seeking jobs” otherwise. 6. Bengaluru: Bangladeshi Intruder Throws Slippers at Hindu Deities’ Idols, Shouts ‘Allahu Akbar’; Arrested

In Karnataka’s Bengaluru, a 45-year-old illegal Bangladeshi national, Kabir Mandal, insulted idols at the Venugopal Temple in Devarabeesanahalli village. The accused, reportedly drunk, entered the temple shouting “Allahu Akbar” and tried to hit the idols with his slippers.

Temple staff and local residents caught him, tied him to a pole, and some even beat him before handing him over to the police. Mandal had been working as a cobbler in the area for the past four to five years and is suspected of living illegally in India.

A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, sparking outrage and hurting religious sentiments. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation, while authorities have urged residents to maintain peace and security in the area.

7. Terror Attack on Rampur’s CRPF Camp: Allahabad HC Sets Aside Trial Court’s Capital Punishment Verdict to Mohd Sharif and 3 Others

The Allahabad high court on Wednesday set aside a trial court order that awarded capital punishment to four persons – Mohd Sharif, Sabauddin, Imran Shahzad and Mohd Farooq – and life imprisonment to another, Jang Bahadur, in connection with the terrorist attack on a CRPF camp at Rampur district on the night of December 31, 2007, in which eight CRPF jawans died and five sustained injuries. The two-judge bench comprising Justices Sidharth Verma and Ram Manohar Narain Mishra stated that the prosecution failed to prove the charges beyond reasonable doubt and criticized major flaws in the investigation.

However, the court found the accused guilty under the Arms Act for possessing an AK-47 rifle and awarded each 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and a ₹1 lakh fine. The state may act against erring police officers for investigative lapses.

8. Major Relief for India: US Extends Sanctions Waiver for Iran’s Chabahar Port Project by Six Months

US President Donald Trump has extended India’s exemption from American sanctions on the Iran-based Chabahar Port project for another six months. The previous waiver had expired on October 27. The Chabahar Port holds great strategic importance for India, as it provides a direct trade route to Afghanistan and Central Asia, bypassing Pakistan. In May 2024, India signed a 10-year agreement with Iran for managing the port and has made significant investments in its development. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed the six-month extension of the US sanctions waiver for the Chabahar Port project.

9. Pune: Fraudsters Impersonating CBI and Mumbai Police Officers Loot ₹1.19 Crore from Elderly Couple; Retired Officer Dies of Shock

In Pune, a group of fraudsters posing as CBI and Mumbai Police officers cheated an elderly couple of ₹1.19 crore between August 16 and September 17. The conmen kept the couple under “digital house arrest” for three days and forced them to transfer money into five different bank accounts. The 82-year-old retired officer was deeply shocked upon learning about the fraud and tragically passed away. His wife filed a complaint stating that the fraudsters threatened them with a false money laundering case and stole their lifetime savings. Pune Cyber Police are investigating the case.

10. Twist in Dharmasthala Case: Complainant Moves Court to Quash Primary FIR, Seen as Bid to Dodge Conspiracy Probe

In a surprising twist in the Dharmasthala mass burial case, the same activists who had alleged rapes and killings have now urged the Karnataka High Court to cancel the FIR filed on their complaint. Petitioners Girish Mattennavar, Mahesh Shetty, and Jayant T asked to quash FIR No. 39/2025 and all notices from the Special Investigation Team (SIT), including one issued on October 24, 2025. They also demanded a forgery case against the masked whistleblower, Chinnayya. They have also sought a stay on all further proceedings in the case as well as nullifying the “anti-Dharmasthala conspiracy case” and a separate forgery case registered against the key initial complainant, a masked man named Chinnayya. This is seen as a clear attempt to evade the heat from the larger conspiracy case.

11. Karnataka Congress Leader Aditya Arrested in Chikkamagaluru for Sexually Harassing Women, Circulating Morphed Photos, and Issuing Death Threats

Congress leader Aditya from Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, was arrested on Tuesday (October 28) for allegedly sexually harassing several women, including wives of his acquaintances, and distributing their morphed photographs on social media. The action followed a complaint from a woman who accused Aditya of befriending her over the phone, misusing her social media pictures, and spreading obscene edited images. She further alleged that he threatened to kill her if she revealed the harassment. The incident triggered public outrage, and locals thrashed Aditya at his residence in Adishakti Nagar, with a video of the confrontation going viral online. Police registered a case under Sections 75(2) and 78 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Sections 67 and 67A of the IT Act, and Section 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

12. MP: Hindu Girl Dies by Suicide in Khandwa After Harassment by Muslim Youth; Accused Arbaz Shah Pressured Her for Nikah

In Harsud, Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh, an 18-year-old Scheduled Caste (SC) girl died by suicide on Wednesday after consuming poison. Her family alleged that she was a victim of love jihad and took the extreme step due to constant pressure and harassment from a man named Arbaz Shah, who was forcing her to marry him.

Angry family members and local residents surrounded the police station and blocked the road in protest. Following this, police registered a case against Arbaz Shah under the Religious Freedom Act, the SC/ST Atrocities Act, and charges of abetment to suicide. The accused’s location was traced to Maharashtra, and a police team has been sent to arrest him.

13. RSS Gets Permission for Path Sanchalan in Mallikarjun Kharge’s Home Region; Administration Imposes 10 Strict Conditions

In Gurmitkal, Yadgir district of Karnataka the home constituency of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has been granted permission to hold a Path Sanchalan (march) on November 1. 15. National Commission For Minorities: Delhi HC Rejects Plea Seeking Wider Inclusion As 16 Chairman Were Either Muslims or Sikhs

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday dismissed a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking broader minority representation in appointing the Chairperson of the National Commission for Minorities (NCM). The plea, filed by Salek Chand Jain, urged the inclusion of Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Zoroastrians, noting that only Muslims and Sikhs have held the post so far. A Bench of Chief Justice D.K. Upadhyaya and Justice T.R. Gedela stated that the matter should be addressed by the Central government, not through judicial intervention. The Court clarified that the NCM Act, 1992, does not require proportional representation of all minority groups, and allowed the petitioner to submit a representation to the Centre for appropriate consideration.

In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a man named Anas Pathan has been arrested for allegedly posting an offensive remark about Lord Shri Ram on social media. After a crackdown on cyber fraud centers in Myanmar, around 500 Indian citizens who had fallen victim to online scams fled to Thailand. These individuals were trapped in scam centers operating inside Myanmar’s KK Park complex. The caller, identifying himself as Mohammad Shabbir, threatened to blow up Jani and his car with a bomb. On October 27, 2025, while returning from Rampur to Sambhal after conducting film research, Jani received the threatening call from someone claiming to be Kashmiri. Sambhal SP Krishna Kumar confirmed that an FIR has been filed, and police are tracing the caller’s location. Amit Jani has been provided with tight security protection.
